- Contradicting the post below about TAMU. I applied the day before the deadline (January 15th I think) and got accepted with full funding for 5 years a little over a week later. I never contacted any professors (or any office staff or administrators) at TAMU and have no connection to the university. In my case, they made the entire decision based on my application because that's all they had to go on.
