- Via website, no email. I'm a graduate student in another program here at Harvard and will be graduating in May with a master's anyway, and even with numerous publications and three rec letters from well-respected tenured Harvard professors (one from the English department), I was still rejected, so know that they really are incredibly selective! In the end, do good enough work wherever you go and if you still want the Harvard experience afterward, you can always apply to be a visiting fellow or instructor! Also, it is worth reapplying next year. I got accepted to Harvard as a reapplicant (in a literary field). It's possible.
