- Reached out to my PI (SB) after the other social psych student said they had done so, and she emailed me back saying that my research (which she specifically described in the message) was "fascinating" and "important" but that they had gotten 3x the usual number of applications and had to choose only a few to interview. So obviously I was not one of them. At least she tried to be personal I guess, but why couldn't the program let us know sooner so we don't have to wait and reach out to individual faculty members?
