- Was really hopeful for this one, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. Top UK uni, 3 industry internships, relevant extra-curriculars, thesis in quantum, strong LoM, average LoRs. I think my not-so-exceptional class ranking and average GRE scores let me down most. Also, my background was materials science, so it was a long shot to begin with.
