- I am truly sorry to inform you that we are not able to offer you admission to the Department of Political Science at MIT. We had a record number of applicants this year, far exceeding the number that can be accommodated, and we have had to refuse admission to some very well-qualified applicants. We appreciate your interest in MIT and wish you the very best with your future plans.
