- TTPB: thanks, and best of luck to you too. I emailed a different dept administrator back in January asking about interviews, and they said in general an applicant is interviewed if the adcom decides to "pursue that route" with that applicant's file. From the wording of that response, it seems like interviews and/or meetings indeed aren't a guarantee that an applicant will be admitted. Best of luck to everyone on here this cycle.
