- MSc degree in physics with a 3.5 GPA, 8.5y of research experience, 4.5y of experience in the field I applied to. Have developed my entire master thesis in their shared facilities, have collaborators there, have participated in group meetings an entire summer, had 3 strong letters, one of them being from a professor from Stanford, 4 publications, 2 first-author, presented in over 10 conferences. Even my recommender from there thought I had good chances of getting in. I really don't understand how I was not even wait listed...
