- We regret to inform you that your application for admission to the applied mathematics program at Cornell University was not approved. The number of students we were able to accept this year was very limited, and the overall quality of the applicants was extremely high. As a result, many truly excellent applicants unfortunately could not be offered admission. Thank you for your interest in our program, and please accept our best wishes for success in your graduate school endeavors and beyond. Sincerely, David Bindel, Director
