TTPB: I know how you feel man, I am in the same situation. Reapplied this year after getting relevant work exp with a strong LOR, rlly strong and improved LORs from undergrad profs at a top 30 uni in the world, decent research experience, a few notable awards, decent stats, took the GRE twice and got a good score then it became not required... At the end of the day, they will always find someone who has better stats/experience or is a better fit, its MIT lol, don't beat yourself up about it. You tried your best and that's what matters, and I am sure you will succeed either way. What I've learnt is to not get too attached to something. Best of luck in your future decisions and career.
