- Waitlisted. Got an email from POI: I hope you're keeping well and safe. The Admissions Committee of the Department of Linguistics was very impressed with your application to our program and we believe you have the qualifications to succeed in our program. We have received a high number of competitive applicants this year and we are unable to admit all qualified applicants. At this point we have placed you on a waitlist for admission to our Ph.D. program. Past experience suggests that we will not be in a position to admit applicants from the waitlist until April. We would be grateful if you could keep us updated about your other offers, or let us know if at some point you are no longer interested in receiving an offer of admission from Toronto.
