- Received a personal email from a department administrator explaining that, though I interviewed well, they would be unable to extend an offer of admission due to an extremely competitive applicant pool and a smaller cohort due to Covid-related budget concerns. The department saw a 50% increase in applications this cycle, so I was honestly happy to even make it to interviews. Congrats to those who were accepted - I hope we'll cross paths during our studies!
