- Hi, no problem. My stats are a 3.98 GPA at a top 5 chemistry undergrad school, one internship in an unrelated field, 3 and a half years of research with a well-known lab, 4 presentations, 2 pubs in preparation, extensive volunteer and teaching experience. Strong letters of rec. Strong statements of purpose and I included my NSF grant proposals and personal statement along with my application. I also included my GRE scores (168:163:5.5 V:Q:W). The prof reached out and said I would receive an official email sometime next week. This was unexpected.
