I submitted all my materials on time and explained to you the extenuating circumstances which led to my last-minute application. You don't want to favor an old student of yours, I get it. Wouldn't the death of a close family member for whom I was the primary caregiver suffice as enough reason to accommodate me? My heart is broken into a million pieces
