- I just got this from the program after asking: We currently are anticipating starting as normal in the fall. Because of the quarter system, Northwestern starts relatively late (classes start at the end of September) and also has a lot of flexibility with ts curriculum since a given course could potentially be offered in the Fall, Winter, Spring, or Summer without requiring major adjustments. Delaying the start of the quarter by a few weeks or starting the program in the winter of 2021 are the most likely fallback options for us right now. We are hoping to avoid delaying the program by a whole year, as we don't want our students to need to put off their career plans that long. As it gets closer to the Fall and the situation becomes more clear, we will keep you informed of our plans
