- In early March I emailed a program point person to ask about my position on the waitlist and a timeline of when I could hear back as a waitlisted applicant, but I received a broad answer from them stating that my concerns would be shared with the faculty which freaked me out 😓 the last thing I wanted was to be seen as impatient. So I waited... I didn't hear back on the 15th after being waitlisted for 2+ months and my other grad friends tried to convince me that the program was probably delayed bc of COVID, so I eventually emailed the point person on the 17th to ask about my status and got a reply stating I had been denied. I'm sad I didn't get in, of course, but I'm more disappointed with the lack of communication. Additionally, the reply felt rushed - like I had been a forgotten waitlistee: "Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, after careful consideration, we regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission at this time. Thank you for your patience and continued interest in our program, the Department of Educational Psychology, and Texas A&M University." I'm also super glad that the cohort that was accepted is made up of great people c: If we met in the interview process, I wish you the best and am sending y'all virtual hugs
