- Happy to receive admission to UT Austin for PhD in Structural Engineering. The admission letter didn't mention the degree I was admitted. It just mentioned "advanced program". Later clarified it from the Graduate Admission Advisor for Structural Engineering that I have been admitted for PhD. However, no information on funding. The advisor replied that funding will be given to students whom they know about and availability of funds. It will be decided by individual faculty when it is available. Contacted the professors, but haven't received replies. A student studying there also said that even PhD students are not funded while they join but they will eventually find it once arriving on the campus. I will take the risk of joining without funding and find it once I enrol in the program.
