- Dear Cornell ECE PhD Applicant: Your application for admission for the Fall 2020 semester for the PhD Program has been given careful consideration. I regret that we are unable to offer you admission to the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The overall number of students which can be accepted is limited. Despite the fact that the overall quality of applications for this season was very high, it is not possible to offer admission to many excellent students who would like to study here. All decisions are final. You will not be receiving a hard copy results letter; this email will serve as your only notification of your application submission results. We appreciate your interest in Cornell and wish you success in continuing your studies. Yours truly, Scott Coldren Assistant Director, Master of Engineering and PhD Programs School of Electrical and Computer Engineering Cornell University
