- I contacted the head of the admission committee inquiring about the status of my application. He replied that my application was wait-listed; however, the department won't be able to extend me an offer. I guess not many admitted student rejected their offers. Please reject Irvine's offer if you have a better one. This most probably would not help. Yet, I hope it does. UC Irvine was my top choice.
