- Finally got the admission email from the department, followed by an individual email from my lovely POI. Funding offer to follow in about a week. Very happy to be accepted as I wasn't able to make it to the Visit Days last week. For future international applicants: (iBT=111 with Speaking Portion of 29; several conducive conversations with POI since Nov.; no US meeting/Journal paper; no letter from American professors) it works as long as you have a strong determination and a good fit. This program does not accept a great number of international applicants each year, but it surely provides an oppotunity for you to show your competitiveness. Best of luck.
