- To the poster asking about UT, I was sent an email after inquiring about the process last week and was told I was waitlisted. I have my suspicions that they took maybe 1-2 students or none at all in the Sociocultural Anthropology track; I was accepted to several schools which I thought were much more difficult reaches (Ivys and others included) and imagined I would get into UT. I'd love to know if anyone did in fact get admitted to that track; otherwise, maybe UT should put up a notice that clearly states that they are/ are not taking students in certain tracks on a given year and save us the application money?
