- Really a bit surprised after interviewing on-campus and having things go really well. I guess I wasn't a good fit departmentally, however. It's a very competitive year. Also, if I had been accepted I wouldn't have gone here. South Bend is a horribly depressing area of the country economically and both crime and weather-wise. Lots of students get medical Rxs for UV lamps due to the permacloud, but health insurance will not cover IUDs (Catholic)... Lucky to have a top ten under my belt.
