- "We received an overwhelming amount of about 650 complete applications for our PhD fellowships (and many more incomplete…). We finished the first two stages of our review and evaluation process and now the most promising 10% of all applicants will be interviewed via Skype to select the final candidates who then will be invited to our Selection Symposium. Although your application received favourable reviews, unfortunately, we have to inform you that its overall score was not strong enough to reach the next level of the application process. With more than several hundred applications for very few positions, we also have to reject many very strong applications."
