- Notes
- Low GPA but a ton of research experience. 2.5 years of post-bacc research. 3 second-author pubs, 1 first-author in revision, 2 second-author in revision - all mid-tier journals (impact factor 5-10). Went to undergrad here, so really disappointed. I was in touch with one of the admissions committee members, and had him look at my CV and generic non-school specific SoP, and he thought I would get an interview. He also wrote one of my recommendation letters. I suppose I was rejected because I am interested in neurodegeneration, and NBB only have one faculty who works on it. But again, Weill Cornell campus have quite a few faculty who works on neurodegeneration and I was not offered an interview on Dec 20th. So low GPA is likely the culprit.
