- To the poster Below, Iowa State is world class AAU institution with top ranked programs in sciences. Economics at Iowa State is routinely ranked among the top 40 in the US and top 90 in the world. UIC, while a good institution, is just a regional campus of an AAU institution ( UIUC). This is a no brainer if they are both funded. Go to Iowa State. I got accepted too, but i wont be attending since i am going to U Chicago.
