- Interviewed on 4/3 and was told that there was one spot left, and I was being considered for it with (funding). In the interview, I have been given so many details about the funding package (5 yrs TA fellowships), such as (TA orientation in July, stipend amount, summer funding...etc), which I will get with the admission. Besides, I have been informed that I will be working with a new professor who does similar work to mine. After all that, today the Professor who did the interview emailed me that “Unfortunately, we cannot admit you this year as all admission offers have been accepted.†I have never been told that I was on the waitlist in the first place tho!!! This is really disappointing! They should have notified me with a rejection letter instead of setting up an interview and getting my hopes up. It was not meant to be.
