- Had an interview with a prof. outside of my specified area of interest in Jan. Very friendly, but tough to be interviewed by because our interests didn't match at all. Very strong project-based background, over a year of internship experience, but no research experience or publications. Also suspect average GRE scores played a part in the rejection.
