- I reached out yesterday regarding my application status as I received an offer elsewhere and they are hoping for my response by April 1st. Received a rejection email today. I was a bit surprised as I'd had some very encouraging communications with the PI I was interested in working with, so I wonder if reaching out and mentioning another offer was the wrong move? Whoops. In any case, best of luck to everyone!
