- I had applied to this PhD position: the job position number of NV-141/18, which was a Ph.D. position in the field of “Optimal operation and control of energy storage systems†in the Department of Chemical Engineering at NTNU, financed by the HighEFF-Centre at SINTEF and NTNU for “Energy Efficient and Competitive Industry for the Future. There was a total number of 94 applicants for only one single vacant position! Got rejected, however, I was from a top-ranked university with an outstanding CV and several ISI publications and under-review papers.
