- thought I should let the good people here know that I called SIU to make sure that the "not received" status of many of my definitely-sent materials was nothing to worry about and was very kindly told they're still working through MFA applications. sounds like they're swamped, so don't panic if you haven't heard anything! I know mid-March feels like the unspoken expiration date on any unresolved grad app hopes and dreams (at least, it does to me), but in this case it doesn't seem like "no news" need be taken as an assumed rejection.
