- TPB: Unless you're trying to get into a top tier PhD I really don't think that the name of the MA will count for much. Again, it's a little bit of a causation/correlation issue right. Are the best students just going to Queens/UBC/UofT and getting selected or do those schools provide something that others don't? I'd go with the former to be honest. But here at Queen's I do know that a lot of public sector big names come to actually recruit students. So that opportunity might be lost. Anyways Dal is a great school and the funding/community is amazing from what I've heard.
