- 4.0/4.0 undergrad score from a world top 30 uni; regular math background; did honors thesis; currently doing RA in one of the top econ research institutions in my home country; regular GRE(325+), poor GRE writing; not a native speaker, maybe my SOP and writing sample werent so perfect (but were checked by proofreaders and experts, said to be good); LORs from tenured professors, positive and strong( i guess) being directly rejected this early(not even waitlisted) means (I guess) that I am among the weakest group in their pool hope my sharing will be helpful to applicants next year March is coming, wish me luck
