- Got a email from a faculty (not my POI )in NYU Shanghai last week, asking if i'd like to do my coursework in New York (about first 1.5 years) but conduct my research in NYU Shanghai. Considering my interest in the whole soft matter center, i honestly replies with a 'No' answer and express the willing to touch the various experimental systems in soft matter research center in NYC. Then he replied they are still working on the admission list. So i think there are still chances. Good luck to all.
