- I had posted earlier about an informal email from the professor. The deny reason was "No major professor available in proposed specialization in major". I'm surprised as I've been in touch (for months) with a professor who does exactly the kind of work I wanted to do. This was most definitely not the reason.. They probably did not have funding and the professor probably did not want to take on any student this year. I have no idea!
