- Notes
- Very simple, generic rejection email. Master's GPA 4.0 in a quite "well-known" institute famous for biomedical research (usually within top 50 in QS rankings every year), 1 accepted publication (biochemistry-related), 1 on the way (biology/biomedical), several years of full-time research in biomedical sciences (current research student) and 1 year full-time in organic chemistry. One intensive summer research program attended in the past. Many domestic and international conferences, excellence award in one international conference, merit-based scholarships awarded all these years, honors in undergrad. Well although possibly these factors don't really matter anymore, repeated rejections, possibly out this year. Just know that there is very intense competition, especially as an international student.
