- This year we received 341 applications from students of 55 different countries. ... Due to the large number of applicants from all over the world, the selection process is currently ongoing. The first candidates are selected and invited to our recruitment workshop in Garching. Unfortunately, you are not on that short-list. But that doesn’t mean, that your application is rejected yet. As we have said, after the recruitment workshop the selection process will still go on and we might contact you for interviews later. ... Maybe I should count this as a rejection.
