- I’ve tried for 3 YEARS to get into a speech path program. I had a lower gpa compared to most but I volunteered at a speech clinic and have been there one day a week for the past 2 years. I think that in combination with writing a heart felt letter to the program explaining my passion... I asked for them to give me a chance and THEY DID. Don’t underestimate the power of being yourself. And most importantly, DON’T GIVE UP. You can do this, stay strong and find new ways to make yourself stand out :) good luck!
