- To the poster asking about LSE. I am 26 with an engineering undergrad from one of the best universities in my country. Some relevant coursework there can include computational math and programming courses, in which I did well. Then, worked two years outside US in an economics research lab, focused on development economics. Later, got accepted for an RA position at a top 5 econ. dept in US. Took 2 pure math and 2 intermediate econ courses in the university and did well. Very strong letters of recommendation.
