- I e-mailed the PhD Director and I got a personal reply that although my application was really compelling this year they received 3 times the applications than usually and they witnessed the strongest applications of the last decade. Then I also got an "admission denied" from the website...extremely impolite and implying lack of respect for their applicants!!!!!!!!!!!!!
