- To the poster below: Based off of my research, as an American, unless you attend with a Rhodes or Marshall which are also HYPS obsessed, Oxford will not fund you. The only other option for Americans are Clarendon for the most part, and based off online research its HYPS. Many of the top 25 schools in the US are not ivy's but public schools. Those students do not get funding unless they are going into the sciences for a DPHIL. For most scholarships, they say work experience does not matter, and many students this year from top schools in the US and the world ( but public), with ridiculously amazing work experience, have not received funding. I repeat, funding goes to HYPS. Its how it is. I am not discrediting how amazing it is to get an acceptance from Oxford. Once again, admissions are very competitive BUT the 1% who get funding are HYPS or some other EU elitist university.
