Received Department admission chair's email saying "I am sorry to have to tell you that we will be unable to offer you admission to our astronomy graduate program at Northwestern University. Your application was judged to be among the strongest, ?but we had over 150 applications, many very strong. We had to make difficult choices in deciding who to admit. On behalf of my colleagues, I thank you for your interest in our program, and I wish you the very best in your future studies."
