- SO... my ultimate goal is to get my PhD in Creative Writing. I am currently pursuing an MFA and was accepted to a full-time program with funding Minnesota Mankato). Mankato is not very highly ranked currently, although it is on the "top 25 underrated programs" list. I also have been accepted to a top-ten ranking low-res program (USM Stonecoast). My question is this - which would be better for me in terms of applying later for a PhD? Could I even apply for a PhD with a low-res MFA? Please respond - I have to accept or decline TODAY my TAship at the fully funded program. Thank you.
