- Not sure where the hate is coming from for the MIDS program. Reviewing many options of Data Science masters and I like the Duke program for its versatility. You can add as many Comp Sci, Stats, Math electives as you want, but it will require more independent thinking and initiative to complete the capstone project than many of the short, cookie-cutter programs. I think the only drawback is the cost, and hoping they come through with some funding.
