- To answer the question of the UT Austin poster below, my application still says "in review" as well. I never interviewed either. I emailed my POI and asked for an update. I was told from him that the bottom half of applicants all got rejections a while back, while the top few applicants got interview invites. So, if you weren't part of the bottom half or one of the TOP percent, he said to consider myself "waitlisted". Did you interview?
