- To offer a counterpoint: if you don't have funding, this means you wouldn't be teaching. For me, the teaching experience is part of the whole package, and if you want to work in academia at all later it will be important. Additionally, a lot of professors recommend doing something between undergrad and graduate school. While you're probably qualified and ready to go, the time between the two will give you world experience and, without looking for them, things to write about. I won't recommend the job without knowing what it is, but if you're not funded and coming straight out of undergrad, I would say go live for a year or two and apply again. Your dream experience probably includes funding, so don't settle for a compromised version of your dream.
