Notes
I am the poster who was interviewed for the Ertegun scholarship earlier this month. The interview took place two weeks after the standard departmental interview, and it was with the DGS of my potential department, not with the Ertegun committee directly. A decision from the department is expected this week, and Ertegun decisions are due by the end of March. My sense is that each department in the Humanities Division has its own procedure and timeline for interviewing and nominating applicants to various funding schemes, including the Ertegun. Feeling solidarity with the staffers who are striking and with all of us who continue to wait for news about our applications. Given the amount of questions and general confusion on this thread and The Student Room, it's clear that the University should scrap that generic timescale flowchart in favor of providing more transparent, course-specific guidelines about the admissions process. 2a/0w/0r/1p
