- After no prompting whatsoever I received a message from a professor (genetic engineering) requesting if I was still looking for a laboratory. This was not a PI I requested in my original application. While I would consider this an admit (of sorts) I have already accepted a fellowship and project at UIC. Anything can happen! Hope a better fit gets this professor and this school.
