- Received phone call without prior email from POI, with call serving as interview. POI wanted to know more about my background (atypical applicant). At end of call POI said he'd be recommending me for admission to the committee and would figure-out funding. Oddly UCLA had a preview day several days later and I was not invited. Unsure of the legitimacy of POI's interest.
