- Thanks!- poster from below- I didn\'t contact any of the professors before the recruiting visit, all of my interactions with them were during this visit. The recruiting weekend consisted of many \"interviews\" with professors, but it didn\'t feel too high pressure, it was mostly seeing who had research interests that were well in line with mine. I was lucky to find a prof that seemed to be a big fan of my interests, so I\'ll be working for him if I choose to accept (UT\'s acceptance process requires the offer to come directly from the potential future PI). I can only speculate as to if all offers have been given, but based on last year\'s stats and the fact that there were about 20 people at the recruiting weekend, my best guess is that anyone that wasn\'t there for the recruiting visit isn\'t going to be getting an offer, and for those that were, offers will be coming soon.
