When I was interviewed via phone on 2/16, they said that they'd make a decision by the end of the month. I saw the results from last week, so I knew that it was an implied rejection. However, I emailed the director of the program to confirm my status. She replied with a kindly worded email. I especially appreciated her last line: "Ours is a small profession, and we look forward to seeing your work develop and impact the field for some time to come. "
