- Form rejection letter. Some language included: "It is the determination of the committee that your application is not sufficiently competitive for this program. Decisions of this type are not easy to make and I want to assure you that there has been a thorough review of your application and its supporting materials." I remember seeing a rejection posted a while ago with the quote of "not sufficiently competitive" a few weeks ago. Their largest concerns expressed in my interview was my lack of statistics and math background despite otherwise telling me I was a competitive candidate.
